RMU Athletics Hall of Fame - Class of 2003

Brian Dunn
Football (1994-97)

Dunn, a native of Havorford, Pa., owns the Robert Morris single-game, single-season and career records for interceptions when he was a four-year starter at free safety for the Colonials. In a 28-6 victory over Duquesne at Moon Stadium Oct. 8, 1994, Dunn finished with three interceptions, which stands as the single-game school record. As a senior in 1997, Dunn established the single-season record for interceptions with seven, a record that has since been tied twice. On his career, Dunn finished with 19 picks. He also owns the school record for career punt return yards (711). Dunn was named to the All-ECAC team in 1995 and was a second team All-American by Don Hansen’s National Weekly Football Gazette in 1996. An All-NEC selection in both 1996 and 1997, Dunn was a first team All-American and All-ECAC pick in 1997. He also was named to the RMU 10th Anniversary Football Team.

Cory Hunt
Men's Track & Field (1991-95)

Hunt, a native of New Castle, Pa., spent four years with the Colonial men’s track and field team and established himself as one of the greatest triple jumpers in Robert Morris history. His jump of 49’3.5” in 1995 stood as the outdoor school record until former Colonial Jarrad Pencek (1998-2001) eclipsed it May 20, 2001. In 1993, Hunt won the Northeast Conference indoor triple jump title and seven times finished in the top six in the NEC in the triple jump. He also placed in the conference’s top six five times in the long jump throughout his career.

Nate List
Football (1994-97)

List was also a four-year starter for the Colonial football team at linebacker and held the Robert Morris record for career tackles with 309 before linebacker James Noel eclipsed it in 2004. A native of Industry, Pa., and a member of the ECAC Bowl winning teams in 1996 and 1997 (victories over Duquesne and Georgetown), List also owns the longest interception return in school history, a 97-yard return for a touchdown @ Dayton in 1996. List was named an All-American by Don Hansen’s National Weekly Football Gazette three times, one of only two Colonials ever to earn the award that many times. An All-NEC pick in both 1996 and 1997, List also earned All-ECAC accolades in 1995, 1996 and 1997. Like Dunn, List was named to the RMU 10th Anniversary Football Team. 

Erica Schwanke-List
Softball (1994-98)

A three-time All-Northeast Conference First Team pitcher, Schwanke was named the league’s rookie of the year in 1995 as well as the pitcher of the year in 1998. Also in 1998, she was named the Most Valuable Player of the NEC Tournament after guiding the Colonials to the league championship. A native of Claymont, Del., Schwanke ranks second in the RMU record book for career strikeouts (688), shutouts (26) and winning percentage (.596) and places third for career games (113), games started (93), innings pitched (659), complete games (89), wins (56) and earned run average (1.93). Her four career no-hitters currently tie her for first at RMU with current Hall of Famer Tera Prosser. One of only two Colonials ever to strike out 200 batters in a season, Schwanke owns the single-season strikeout record of 280, set during the 1998 campaign, and she also struck out 217 batters in 1997. She is the only Colonial to post double-digit shutouts in a single season, also doing so twice (10 in 1997 and 1998). Schwanke is married to Nate List, and the pair have three kids.
