Princeton, N.J. ? The Robert Morris University women's track and field team participated in the 25th ECAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship this past weekend at Princeton's Weaver Stadium in Princeton, N.J.
Senior Jordhanna White (West Lawn, Pa. / Wilson) and sophomores Melitta Brown (York, Ontario / Sacred Heart) and Ashley Turici (Zelienople, Pa. / Seneca Valley) represented the Colonials after hitting ECAC qualifying standards during the course of the outdoor season.
White led the Colonials on the track with a daunting performance in the women's 100-meter hurdles. The reigning NEC hurdles champions crossed the tape in 14.58 to capture 21st place.
Brown, the only Colonial to qualify for two events, competed in the women's long jump and women's triple jump. The second-year jumper produced a leap of 5.68m for 17th place in the long jump while unleashing a distance of 11.36m for 24th place in the triple jump.
Turici rounded out the performances in the women's javelin throw, placing 16th with a toss of 38.49m.
