Moon Township, Pa. / North Athletic Complex?The Robert Morris University men's soccer team watched its season come to a close with a 3-0 loss to Saint Francis (Pa.) at North Athletic Complex Sunday afternoon. The Colonials end the year with a 2-14-3 record overall and a 0-7-2 record in Northeast Conference play.
Playing in cold, windy conditions, Saint Francis got on the board in the 69th minute. David butler played a cross that deflected off a Colonial defender into the box. Brian Murphy hopped on the ball and beat RMU senior goalkeeper Matt Felice (Mississauga, Ontario / Phillip Pocock) for the first of his two goals in the game.
Murphy's second came in the 76th minute when he quickly settled and hit a short cross from Brent Brockman inside the right post. The Red Flash finished the scoring with 19 seconds left when Jon Guse hit a penalty kick to the lower right corner.
