Determining the Amount of a Full Grant-In-Aid

ROBERT MORRIS UNIVERSITY, OFFICE OF ATHLETIC COMPLIANCE

Determining the Amount of a Full Grant-In-Aid

The athletics grant-in-aid (scholarship) is determined in accordance with NCAA regulations, as well as charges for room, board, tuition and fees for all students at Robert Morris University. Tuition and fees are determined by the Board of Trustees, and display some variance depending upon the student’s choice of major. The value for books is established by Bylaw 15.5.3.2.1.

The head coach of each team reviews all current team grant-in-aid awards before their earliest respective National Letter of Intent Signing Period. Projections are made for potential increases in any element which may result from Board of Trustees’ action and such projections are taken into consideration prior to any new offer of athletic aid. After increases have been approved by the Board in March of each year, the grant-in-aid amount is communicated to all coaches. Team that are at or near their NCAA or Conference mandated athletic aid limits participate in a compliance education session where the team’s scholarship budget and planned athletic aid awards (initial and renewal) for the upcoming year are evaluated and finalized.
