McLaughlin's Olympic Diary

In the upcoming 2010 Vancouver Olympics, former RMU goalie Brianne McLaughlin will compete as the first Colonial ever to appear in the Olympic Games. While at Robert Morris she became the NCAA DI All-Time Career Saves Leader with 3,809 saves, was the first Colonial to participate in the NCAA Frozen Four Skills Challenge and was also the first RMU player to be nominated for the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award. The summer after her junior season she competed for the U.S. U-22 Series and throughout her career has been named USCHO.COM National Defensive Player of the Week three times. She was a four-year All-CHA honoree and earned a total of 12 CHA Defensive Player of the Week Awards.

With this being such a historic event for Robert Morris, we decided to let fans follow McLaughlin's Olympic journey. Every week or two McLaughlin will send us a journal entry talking about the numerous experiences and emotions she is feeling during this journey.
