Box Score Muncie, Ind. - The Robert Morris University field hockey team picked up its first win of the 2010 season Saturday, knocking off St. Louis, 1-0 in overtime in a neutral site contest in Muncie, Ind. The win improved the Colonials to 1-2 overall on the 2010 campaign, while the Billikens slipped to 0-3.
Kylie McKain (Elizabethtown, Pa. / Elizabethtown) found the net at the 81:28 mark of overtime off a pass from Chantele Crow (Dauphin, Pa. / Central Dauphin) on a penalty corner. Stephanie Seeley (Louisville, Ky. / Ballard) made three saves for the Colonials and earned her first shutout of the season.
The Colonials and Billikens each registered three first half shots but Robert Morris gained the offensive advantage in the second half, outshooting St. Louis, 4-2, in the second stanza. Catherine Myrick (Twin Valley, Pa. / Twin Valley) posted three defensive saves to help preserve the clean sheet.
Robert Morris opens up its home schedule next weekend with a pair of games in Joe Walton Stadium. The Colonials welcome Appalachian State Friday at 1:00 p.m. and LaSalle Sept. 11 at 11:00 a.m.
