One of the most successful players to ever put on a Robert
Morris jersey, Nathan Longpre has continued to find success in the professional
ranks. The forward was one of three alumni (along with Denny Urban and Dave
Cowan) to be invited to an NHL main training camp earlier this season and is
currently skating with the Chicago Wolves in the American Hockey League.
In 31 games with the Wolves this season, RMU's all-time
leading scorer has seven goals and 15 points as Chicago sits in second place in
the Midwest Division – just four points behind division-leading Charlotte.
We caught up with Longpre last month as the Peterborough,
Ontario native watched his alma mater take on Niagara.
