Thanks to a record-breaking performance at the Buffalo Stampede (9/15), sophomore Mac Byrne-Houser of the cross country squad is the recipient of the latest RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week accolade. A native of Greensburg, Pa., and an accounting major, Byrne-Houser established a new school record in cross country for an eight-kilometer course with a time of the 25:59.2. The time was good enough for Byrne-Houser to place 15th and broke a record that had stood for seven years. Prior to his performance at Buffalo, Byrne-Houser's previous personal best time of 28:06.4 came at the 2010 Northeast Conference championships.
