RMU Student-Athlete of the Week (3/20/13)

In claiming her second weekly honor of the 2013 campaign and 10th of her career by being named the latest Northeast Conference (NEC) Pitcher of the Week (3/18), sophomore pitcher Nicole Sleith is honored as our latest RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week. During RMU’s annual spring swing through the Sunshine State, Sleith helped guide the Colonials to a 7-4 record by finishing 3-1 in the circle with a pair of saves and a 1.37 earned run average (ERA). She allowed opponents to hit just .160 during the week while posting 42 strikeouts against just five free passes. Her best performance of the week came in a 4-1 win over Florida A&M (3/15), when she allowed just five hits and a walk while striking out nine in the victory, yielding just one earned run. So far on the 2013 season, Sleith has compiled a 6-4 ledger in 12 games, striking out 82 and walking just 11 while posting a 2.27 ERA.
