RMU Student-Athlete of the Week (4/17/13)
One of two RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week honorees for the April 17, 2013, edition of the weekly accolade goes to sophomore midfielder Kristin Yoviene of the lacrosse team. A native of Easton, Md., Yoviene led the Colonials to a 21-10 victory over in-state rival Saint Francis U. (4/12/13) to help keep RMU’s hopes for a Northeast Conference Tournament berth alive with five goals. Yovienne found the back of the net twice over a 16 second span late in the first half that gave Robert Morris a 12-3 lead at halftime, then notched the first goal of the second stanza to give the Colonials a 13-3 edge on the Red Flash. On the 2013 campaign, Yoviene ranks second for RMU in both goals (25) and points (36) while being tied with a team-high 11 assists.
