RMU Student-Athlete of the Week (5/8/13)
Earning one of two RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week honors for the week of May 8, 2013, is senior Brendan Morales of the track & field team. A native of Westminster, Md., Morales won the individual championship and All-NEC First Team accolades in the hammer throw last weekend at the 2013 Northeast Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships in West Long Branch, N.J. Morales posted a toss of 55.79 meters (183’00”), a season high in the event. Morales qualified for the IC4A/ECAC Championships in three events at the 2013 NEC Championships, including the shot put, discus and hammer throw.
