RMU Athletic Hall of Fame - Class of 2005

Jim Baughman
Men's Track & Field (1996-2000)

A native of Pittsburgh, Pa., Baughman was a hurdling specialist for the Colonials and was a member of three NEC championship teams, including the 1999 indoor, 2000 indoor and 2000 outdoor titles. He owns the top five times in school history for the 55-meter high hurdles during the indoor track and field season, including a school record time of 7.60 seconds, set in 2000. Baughman also owns the top four times in the 60-meter high hurdles, including a school-record time of 8.15, also set in 2000. He is also part of the the 4x400-meter relay team that owns the school record with a time of 3:16.73. For outdoor track and field, Baughman owns school records for both the 110-meter high hurdles (14.18) and the 400-meter intermediate hurdles (51.33).
Dr. Susan Hofacre
Athletic Director (2000-05)

As athletic director at Robert Morris from 2000-05, Hofacre oversaw some of the greatest expansion of the Colonial athletic department in school history. She oversaw the addition of six new sports (women’s golf, men’s and women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s ice hockey and field hockey) and the development of the new track and field at the RMU Island Sports Center as well as the construction of Joe Walton Stadium and athletic administration building. Under her watch RMU had its first-ever Academic All-Americans in Christian Lemke (second team track & field in 2004) and Jonathan LeDonne (football in 2004). A native of Aberdeen, S.D., Hofacre passed away in January of 2005.
Elise James
Women's Basketball (1996-2000)

James is the career leader in both points (1,563) and rebounds (1,120) and is the only player in Colonial basketball history to eclipse both 1,000 career points and rebounds. She also ranks first in career field goals (620) and field goals attempted (1,370), second in blocks (114) and fourth in free throws (323). A native of Teaneck, N.J., James was named to the All-Northeast Conference First Team twice (1998-99 and 1999-2000), All-NEC Second Team (1997-98) and All-NEC Newcomer Team (1996-97). James owns the single-game record for rebounds with 25, set against Albany Dec. 29, 1999. Over her four-year career she compiled 54 career double-doubles and her career-high in points in a game was 31, set on two occasions.
John Kuziel
Men's Basketball (1964-67)

A native of Pittsburgh, Pa., Kuziel scored 920 points for Robert Morris when it competed at the junior college level over the course of the 1964-65 and 1965-66 seasons. He owned the Colonial single-season record for shooting percentage (59 percent in 1965-66) and tied for the single-game record with 25 rebounds.
Gene Nabors
Men's Basketball (1995-2000)

A transfer from LSU, Nabors finished his career with 1,328 points, including 1,029 points in just two seasons as a Colonial. His career point total ranks ninth in the record book, and in other categories he ranks seventh in three-point field goals (161), eighth in assists (385), 12th in field goals (451), 14th in free throws (265) and tied for 19th in rebounds (488). A native of Beckley, W.Va., Nabors’ 572 points during the 1999-00 campaign in leading RMU to the NEC Tournament championship game ranks fourth in the single-season record book. An All-NEC First Team selection in both 1999 and 2000, Nabors was also named to the 2000 All-NEC Tournament Team after scoring 38 points against Saint Francis (Pa.) in the NEC quarterfinal and 35 points against Mount St. Mary's in the NEC semifinal, which helped put RMU in the NEC Tournament championship game.
Mark Wallace
Men's Tennis (1992-95)

A native of Glassboro, N.J., Wallace registered Colonial records in career singles victories (58) and singles wins in a season (24) while playing only three seasons at Robert Morris. During the 1994-95 campaign, Wallace compiled a record of 24-10 (.706) in singles action.
