RMU Student-Athlete of the Week (9/12/12)

After a fantastic week on the court, senior outside hitter Lindsey Monger of the volleyball squad claims her first RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week accolade of the 2012 season and fourth of her career. A native of Rising Sun, Md., and a communication major, Monger averaged a double-double in five matches last week, averaging 14.8 kills and 14.6 digs per set. Monger earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team at the Maddie Bingaman Memorial Tournament in Baltimore, Md., this past weekend, recording four double-doubles, including a season-high 20 kills and 13 digs in a 3-0 sweep of Howard (9/7). Monger was also at the forefront of a 3-2 victory over Big 12 foe West Virginia (9/11) at the Charles L. Sewall Center with 20 kills and 22 digs. On the 2012 campaign, Monger paces Robert Morris in both kills (147) and digs (150).
