Junior David Torrance's first goal of the season proved to be the gamewinner in a 1-0 win over in-state rival Saint Francis (Pa.).

Loretto, Pa. - The Robert Morris University men's soccer closed out its 2009 schedule with a 1-0 win at in-state Northeast Conference rival Saint Francis (Pa.) Friday afternoon. The Colonials cap the season with a 3-14-3 overall record and a 3-4-3 mark in conference play. The Red Flash fall to 6-11-2 and 2-6-2 in NEC play.

Freshman Dominic Mascia (Pickerington, Ohio / Saint Charles Prep) earned his first career assist when he found junior forward David Torrance (Glasgow, Scotland / Langside College) in the game's 10th minute. The goal was the first of the season for Torrance.

Freshman goalkeeper Toba Bolaji (Vaughn, Ontario / Maple) turned away six shots en route to the fifth shutout of his rookie campaign. Darius Motazed had nine saves for the host Red Flash.

Saint Francis had a 25-18 advantage in shots and held a 7-5 margin in corner kicks.
