RMU is coming off the two most successful seasons in program history with a combined 35 wins between the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons. Last season, the Colonials boasted the best penalty killing unit in the nation at .899 - the highest success rate in the NCAA since 2006-07. Robert Morris also picked up its first-ever Atlantic Hockey playoff series win in a thrilling three-game series against American International after joining the league in 2010-11.
The upcoming season will take the Colonials program to new heights as RMU unveils the first-ever Pittsburgh College Hockey Invitational in December before hosting the 2013 NCAA Men's Frozen Four next April at CONSOL Energy Center.
