The Capsule The Robert Morris University women's basketball team continues a four-game road trip when they meet the Iowa Hawkeyes for the first time in team history Tuesday, Nov. 20, in a 8:00 p.m. Eastern game. At 661 miles, it marks the longest bus trip the Colonials will take this season. The game is the second of three first-time opponents and the first of three Big 10 teams that RMU will play. The Series Tuesday's contest will mark the first meeting between Robert Morris and Iowa. The Hawkeyes are the second of four teams that RMU will be playing for the first time this season. The others are Colgate, Michigan State and Minnesota. The Colonials lost at Colgate, 55-71, on Nov. 11. Musket Shots
Spanou Closing In On 1K Junior forward Artemis Spanou needs three points to become the 19th player at Robert Morris to reach 1,000 career points. Spanou has already collected 500 career rebounds and would be the 13th player in team history to score both 1,000 points and grab 500 caroms. Road Warriors Robert Morris is in the midst of a four-game road swing and an extended portion of the Colonials schedule that will see the team play eight of 10 games away from the Charles L. Sewall Center between now and the turn of the calendars. During that span, RMU will travel 6,644 miles. The longest trip is the the 858-mile journey to Minnesota while the shortest is 94 miles to Kent State. |
