Bob Erwin
Baseball/Volleyball Coach, IM Director (1968-92)

 

 

From 1969-77, Erwin served as the baseball coach at Robert Morris, compiling a 105-61 (.633) record over nine seasons. From 1973-75, Erwin coached the women’s volleyball squad to a 29-14 (.674) three-year mark. A native of Terre Haute, Ind., Erwin received the Robert Morris Susan Cobb Award as the University’s outstanding faculty member in 1971, and he served nine years (1968-76) as a statistician, scorekeeper and athletic trainer for the men’s basketball team.

 

Tom Parks
Men's Basketball (1979-83)

 

 

Parks currently ranks 19th all-time at Robert Morris in career points with 1,027 and is one of just 20 individuals to reach the 1,000-point plateau on his career. Parks is also RMU’s top free-throw shooter in school history, having posted a career free-throw shooting percentage of 86.5 percent (321-for-371). A native of Belle Vernon, Pa., Parks helped the Colonials to back-to-back ECAC Metro Conference championships and subsequent NCAA Tournament berths in 1982 and 1983. 

 

John Rech
Men's Golf (1964-68)

 

Rech helped Robert Morris to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) golf tournament in both 1964 and 1965 and received an associates degree in business management from Robert Morris in 1968.

 

Christine Suto
Women's Tennis (1983-87)

 

 

A two-time most valuable player for the RMU women’s tennis team, Suto posted a 68-11 (.851) career record at the No. 1 singles flight, including a 15-1 (.938) record in singles action and a 15-1 (.938) record in doubles action in the fall of 1986. She is a native of Munhall, Pa.
