The Colonials close out the Niagara Fall Classic against the
Niagara Purple Eagles and are still searching for win number one. The Colonials
faced the Buffalo Bulls in their Friday game losing 1-0. The Colonials are now
0-8-1 on the season. The Purple Eagles are off to a 3-3-0 start on the 2012
season following a 2-0 victory against Saint Francis (Pa.) Friday. The Purple
Eagles will be looking to stretch their current win streak to three games.
Series
RMU is 3-11-1 all-time against Niagara winning last year's
matchup, 5-1. This series dates back to the 1993 season with RMU posting a mark
of 0-7-1 to open this series. The Colonials first win against the Purple Eagles
came in 2006 by the score of 3-2. The Colonials other win came in 2009.

Scouting the Purple Eagles
The Niagara Purple Eagles are 3-3-0 in this 2012 season. The
Purple Eagles have wins against Youngstown State, St. Francis (Pa.) and Buffalo
with overtime necessary in two of those victories. Purple Eagles freshman Maria
Siegrist-Gabas leads the team in assists and points with four. Six players are
tied for the team lead in goals as junior Danielle Kennedy, senior Julianne
Viviano, freshman Rachel Garvey, sophomore Catherine Meyer, freshman Hayley
Besaw and senior Jamie Raepple each have one goal apiece. Raepple also leads
the team in shots with 14. Niagara will be looking for their fourth win in
their past five games.
