RMU Student-Athlete of the Week (4/4/12)

Sophomore midfielder Talia Waskowicz of the lacrosse team earns the latest RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week accolade after tying a single-game school record for goals in an 18-13 victory over in-state rival Saint Francis (Pa.) (3/31/12) at Joe Walton Stadium. The Pittsburgh, Pa., native found the back of the net seven times against the Red Flash, including her final tally of the afternoon with just one second left in regulation to the tie a record that was originally established by former Colonial Alana Beck two seasons ago. Waskowicz also finished with an assist, four ground balls and a pair of draw controls in the win over Saint Francis (Pa.) and for her performance was tabbed the Northeast Conference Co-Player of the Week. She enters this weekend's action leading Robert Morris in both goals (26) and points (29).
