The Robert Morris men's hockey team celebrated one of the most successful seasons in team history in 2011-12, highlighted by the nation's best penalty killing unit (.899 percent success rate) and a program record eight-game unbeaten streak. The Colonials, whose 17-17-5 overall record was one win away from tying the program's season win record, also picked up their first-ever Atlantic Hockey Association playoff win, their first-ever home playoff win and came out on top in the program's first-ever playoff series.

RMU alum Alissa Dorman caught up with head coach Derek Schooley recently to talk about the 2011-12 campaign as well as the future of Colonial hockey.
