RMU Student-Athlete of the Week

Taking home the latest RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the 2012 fall season is sophomore Marissa Polk of the cross country team. A native of Pittsburgh, Pa., and a nursing major, Polk placed sixth at the Buffalo Stampede (9/15) in her 2012 debut by navigating the five-kilometer course in a time of 18:08.0. Not only does the time represent a personal best for Polk, but it is also the second best time in school history. The reigning Northeast Conference Freshman of the Year, Polk has earned three RMU Student-Athlete of the Week accolades in her career.
