Joining the Colonials on the bench for the 2009-10 season is junior, Kyle Burton.  After lettering in his freshman and sophomore season, he will be the newest addition to the RMU hockey staff as a student assistant coach due to a medical condition.  As a player, Burton appeared in a total of 62 games as a forward while scoring 13 goals and 13 assists. Prior to attending RMU, he played three seasons with the Calgary Canucks in the AJHL.

Continued three game point streak with goal and assist at Governor's Cup vs. Colgate (10/24/08) ... Tallied second goal vs. Ohio State in Cleveland, Ohio (12/6/08) ... Kicked off five-game scoring streak against AIC with two assists (1/3/09 & 1/4/09) ... In series at Ala.-Huntsville, scored one goal and one assist (1/9/09 & 1/10/09) ... 2007-08:  Appeared in 26 games ... Recorded first colligate point with an assist against Wayne State in the Nye Frontier Classic championship game (10/13/07) ... Tallied first goal in home opener win over Wayne State (10/26/07) ... Notched an assist against Quinnipiac (12/8/07) ... Scored a goal in two cosecutive games, first against Alabama-Huntsville (12/18/07) and second agaist American International (1/4/08) ... Had only multiple point game of the season with one goal and one assist in loss to Alabama-Huntsville (2/1/08) ...Tallied season high six shots on goal at Colgate (12/2/07).

Pre-RMU: Played three seasons for the Calgary Canucks of the Alberta Junior Hockey League ... Ranked second on the team with 72 points ... Scored a team-high 40 goals and notched 32 assists ... His 40 goals also ranked third in the AJHL, while his 72 points ranked seventh ... Coached by Don Phelphs at Calgary.
