RMU Student-Athlete of the Week (11/23/11)

Helping lead the Colonials to a perfect 3-0 start to the 2011-12 season with home victories over Kent State (11/15/11) and Central Michigan (11/18/11) earns senior forward Mary Durojaye of the basketball team the latest RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week honor. A native of London, England, Durojaye finished with 16 points, nine rebounds and a pair of blocks in a 78-44 thumping of the Golden Flashes, then contributed 16 points, 10 rebounds and a block in a 64-55 victory over the Chippewas. On the week, Durojaye shot 56 percent (14-for-25) from the field while converting four of her six attempts (66.7 percent) at the charity stripe. On the 2011-12 campaign she is averaging a team-high 14.3 points per contest while contributing 9.3 rebounds a game.
