RMU Student-Athlete of the Week (12/7/11)

Earning her second NEC Female Student-Athlete of the Week honor of the 2011-12 winter season is senior forward Mary Durojaye of the women's basketball squad. A native of London, England, Durojaye averaged 16.0 points and 8.0 rebounds in a pair of Northeast Conference victories last week at the Charles L. Sewall Center while shooting 60 percent (15-for-25) from the field. In a 57-54 win over Monmouth (12/3/11), Durojaye led the Colonials with 19 points and 11 rebounds, converting nine of her 13 shots from the field. Two nights later she led RMU to a perfect 2-0 start in league play with 13 points, five rebounds and a block in a 79-50 victory over Fairleigh Dickinson (12/5/11). In helping lead the Colonials to a 7-1 start to the 2011-12 season and a spot in the latest CollegeInsider.com Women's Mid-Major Top 25 poll at 24th, Durojaye is averaging 12.0 points and 9.1 rebounds per contest.
