Earning her second career RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week honor is junior goaltender Kristen DiCiocco of the ice hockey team. A native of Niagara Falls, Ontario, DiCiocco helped the Colonials earn a victory and a tie last weekend against Syracuse at the RMU Island Sports Center. She posted 26 saves in a 2-1 victory over the Orange Friday night, followed by a season-high 35 saves a night later, including seven in the final 30 seconds of overtime, to preserve a 1-1 tie Saturday night. For her efforts, DiCiocco was named the College Hockey America (CHA) Goaltender of the Week (12/12/11), her third career honor. On the 2011-12 season, DiCiocco ranks fifth nationally in both goals against average (1.59) and winning percentage (.759) thanks to an overall record of 9-2-2.
