RMU Student-Athlete of the Week (2/8/12)

Freshman forward Lucky Jones of the men's basketball team earns the latest RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week honor after leading the Colonials to a split in road games last week @ Wagner (2/2/12) and Mount St. Mary's (2/4/12). In the pair of games, Jones averaged 13.0 points and 5.5 rebounds while shooting 60 percent (9-for-15) from the floor and a perfect 5-for-5 at the charity stripe. In a 67-62 victory over the Mount that helped snap a two-game slide, the native of Newark, N.J., established a career high with 17 points on 7-of-9 shooting to lead the Colonials to victory. Jones also grabbed eight rebounds against the Mount and posted three assists and three steals. On the 2011-12 campaign, Jones leads Robert Morris in rebounding by grabbing an average of 6.5 per game and supplies 8.0 points per game.
