Junior goaltender Kristen DiCiocco of the ice hockey team earns the latest RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week honor and her third of the 2011-12 season after helping lead the Colonials to their first-ever College Hockey America (CHA) Tournament championship last weekend at the RMU Island Sports Center. Winner of the 2012 CHA Goaltending Trophy, DiCiocco helped lead Robert Morris to the CHA Tournament title with 72 saves and a .947 saves percentage in wins over Niagara and Mercyhurst. In the championship game against the Lakers, the native of Niagara Falls, Ontario, turned away 45 shots to help the Colonials stun No. 6 Mercyhurst, 3-2, ending the Lakers' run of nine straight CHA Tournament titles. Named the 2012 CHA Tournament MVP, DiCiocco posted a 17-9-3 record in net in 2011-12 with 743 saves and a .928 save percentage.
