RMU Student-Athlete of the Week (4/4/12)

Earning his second RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week of the 2012 spring season is junior attack Jake Hayes of the men's lacrosse squad. A native of Calgary, Alberta, Hayes helped lead Robert Morris to a pair of wins last week by compiling eight goals and three assists in victories over Canisius (3/27/12) and Wagner (3/31/12). Against the Golden Griffins, Hayes recorded four goals and a pair of assists on just six shots while also finishing with three ground balls in a 15-11 win. Four days later Hayes found the back of the net four more times and added an assist in a 22-10 victory over the Seahawks on Staten Island, N.Y. On the 2012 campaign, Hayes ranks second for the Colonials in both goals (27) and points (37).
