RMU Student-Athlete of the Week (4/18/12)

Becoming the fourth different Colonial from the men's lacrosse program to earn RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week honors on the 2012 spring campaign is redshirt junior attack Dave Morton. A native of Orangeville, Ontario, Morton was tabbed the latest Northeast Conference Offensive Player of the Week (4/16) after leading the Colonials with six points in a 17-14 victory over defending NEC champion Mount St. Mary's (4/14) at Joe Walton Stadium. Morton recorded three goals and three assists in the win over the Mount, including the eventual game-winning goal. It marked the fifth career hat trick for Morton and also extended his point streak to a career-high 11 games. On the 2012 campaign, Morton ranks third for Robert Morris in points (34), having compiled 18 goals and 16 assists.
