RMU Student-Athlete of the Week (5/16/12)

In helping lead the varsity four to a sixth-place showing at the 2012 Dad Vail Regatta in Philadelphia, Pa., sophomore Megan Coleman of the rowing squad earns the latest RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week accolade. A native of Pittsburgh, Pa., Coleman spearheaded the Colonials to a first-place finish in their heat of the varsity four with a time of 7:52.98. Advancing to the semifinals, where RMU had to finish first or second to advance to the grand finals, Coleman was at the forefront of a boat that posted a time of 7:36.73, shaving over 16 seconds off its time during opening action to help the Colonials finish second behind Old Dominion. Robert Morris eventually finished sixth out of 42 boats at the Dad Vail Regatta in the varsity four, posting a time of 8:14.403 in the grand finals.
