MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – RMU (0-2) will host Mercyhurst (1-1) on Saturday, September 14 at Joe Walton Stadium with a 12:02 kickoff. The Colonials are coming off a 23-21 loss against Edinboro in Week 2, while Mercyhurst (1-1) fell on a walk-off field goal to Howard 32-31 last week.
THE SERIES
Saturday marks the first time the two teams have played since 1997. The series is deadlocked at two games apiece, with the visiting team winning all four times.
LAST TIME OUT
Mercyhurst scored on the first play of the 4
th quarter to break a 10-10 tie en route to a 17-10 victory on November 1, 1997 at Moon Stadium.
A QUICK NOTE
Although Mercyhurst is a member of the Northeast Conference, this game will not be counted as a conference matchup due to the Lakers not playing a full league schedule.
