FIRST HALF
The Colonials created several offensive opportunities early in the match. Ava Trethewey, Alyssa Mella and Sydney Chontos each recorded a shot on target, but RMU was unable to find the back of the net.

Through the opening 45 minutes, RMU held 59% of the possession and recorded seven shots, but the match remained scoreless heading into halftime.

SECOND HALF
The Colonials finally broke through in the 65th minute. Dribbling down the right wing, Sierra Hess played a pass to Mella, who sent a cross into the box. Julia Becerra headed the ball into the back of the net to give RMU a 1-0 lead.

Moments later, Trethewey nearly doubled the lead off a free kick, but the PFW goalkeeper made a diving save to keep the Mastodons within one.

Trethewey would find the back of the net in the 70th minute. After receiving a pass from Madison Sievering, Trethewey fired a shot from distance that struck the post and found the back of the net to make it a 2-0 game.
